Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I took the family here today and was not disappointed. The salsa was great (un poco picante). I had a chile verde burrito (con jalapeño picado), which was a generous size and tasted fabulous. My son had the fajita burrito and he loved it—and it was ginormous! My wife enjoyed her taquitos, and my daughter liked her chicken burrito. I already know what I'm ordering next time... las camerones a la diabla! Such a great mexican dish when done right (muy picante), and I can't wait to try it Garibaldi style!"
"So. We came over on a day trip from Boise-and I must say-this place does not disappoint. Here is your sign-the start up salsa with the chips-THE REAL DEAL! A key indicator on Mexican joints-is it milk toast white people bland-or are they bold. They are bold-the salsa has fire. Game on! The entrees were delicious and portions huge. And I have to say-I hope I am getting the name right, but I think his name was Berno-you need to give him a raise and promote him immediately! That guy-you could have a drunk cook and a wait staff that spills the margaritas all over the guests-and this guy could turn it all around just with his amazing warmth and charm! You have the right kind of people working there! Your salsa is the best in the business-and he warned us-refrigerate it and after 48 hours discard. For the novice-this means it is radically fresh. I am chomping on it from my leftovers back in Boise right now. My fiancée and I had a wonderful experience-and our waitress was terrific too!"
"Fantastic experience! We ate around 4pm, it wasn't packed but customers consistently trickled in. This restaurant was FAST...our entire time was under 20 minutes. We were seated rapidly by very professional staff, chips & salsa were brought, drink orders right away along with cutlery napkins. Within 3 minutes, we knew what we wanted and the waitress was prompt and friendly. By the 8 minute mark we had our piping hot delicious food. We wasted no time digging in. We are ery fast eaters, within 8 minutes we were both full. The waitress noticed we were done, brought us boxes, we paid the bill, left a fabulous tip, went potty and were back on the road within 20 minutes flat! This business knows what they are doing and they do it well! You will NOT be disappointed by stopping here!"
"This place has gotten a lot better lately! Their salsa is nice and hot! Has a bit of thyme in it and it just makes it unique! We love their food and wish we could visit more often. Pricing has gotten out of control lately but that’s pretty much every place you go to."
"Excellent service! Beautiful decor and a comfortable, family atmosphere. An extensive menu with many choices. Everything we ordered was delicious and our server was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place!"
"The food was great. I had the chicken mole. But my server seemed to NOT understand English so well. Because I asked her if the happy hour is for margaritas only and she said yes. So I asked for a beer then she comes back with 2 pints.. I asked what's going on? Why you bringing two? She said that this is what we do for happy hour. I said that's not what you said earlier. Why am I going to have two beers sent to my table so that one of them can get warm while I drink the other one? I didn't pursue this anymore. I just left it alone and just was glad I had a good meal. But, two beers for $4.74 is a very good deal. They charge 1.72 for card usage.(Transaction fee)."
"Food came quickly off the lunch special and the beans and salsa were a nice starting point. They also had Banana Margaritas which was a bit different but tasted good."
"This location was ready to find from Google maps. The parking lot was large and very well set up for getting from your vehicle to the front door. Once inside, there were several benches to sit on, in case you had to wait for your table. I went on to make an order to go because we were staying in town with a dog, who we couldn't leave behind in either the motel or the vehicle. Because of this, I can't speak about the service if I was dining in but everyone who walked by had smiles on their faces and engaged with you, very positively and with lots of eye contact and smiles. The food was delicious, large portions and so authentically "Mexican". I will eat here again! Also, the inside, from what I could see from the register, looked clean and inviting for visiting and eating. While I waited, a group of 8 came in to be seated and then a group of 18!! Both were seated immediately. I heard that the group of 18 called before they showed up so they were planned on. So this must be THE place when you have a gathering. I took the photos below to show my husband who was waiting in the car, how festive it was inside. Although the 4th of July was over, it was still the month of July."
